That is the rating on the speaker termed "peak" which I understand to be a music power rating!

Then a good bet for the RMS rating would be about half of that. The most important thing, however, is that your amp does not distort at the output level you play at.
If you decide to pair the speaker with an amp that can barely output 2x20W continuously and then crank it all the way up, then it is likely to distort and this distortion is very bad for the speakers. In other words, it is quite hard to make a 'safe match' with an amplifier based on this number alone - a more powerful, controlled amp is always a better match than one that is easily driven over the edge.

Thank you for that. I thought as much. My amp supplies well over that figure as I am aware of the drawbacks of an amp with barely enough power.
