Button functions on remote

I just bought an original RC-158 and I am trying to make sure that it is fully functional before I leave feedback for the seller. It appears that some of the buttons do not work but that may be due to operator error / lack of knowledge :).
I have tried to find out the proper use of the buttons on the web and have located manuals for the Denon TU-1500RD but nothing appears to show me the proper way to use the buttons on the RC-158.
Can you please point me in the right direction?
