Absolutely vacuum tube sound.

I know that the grundig sv200 is beautifully engineered and built, from the factory. This unit, however, does have some issues...When renovated, unless certain capacitors are used, this unit will oscillate at extremely low frequencies. Biasing and use of mismatched trasnistors can also cause occillation at extremely high frequencies. I don't know if that elaborately configured eight device output stage presents an issue..

I recall comparing this unit, to my dad's great Fisher SA1000 and SX200 IIa. This is a class A German Amp with a super clean pre-amp...What contributes to this units clean tube-like sound
