My grandchild unfortunately broke the CD tray of my NAD L40.
Is there anybody who can help or advice on how to repair it ?

Depends on the extent to which it is broken. If it is completely broken the cheapest option is most likely to buy some donor drive with a compatible tray. Some of NAD's contemporary CD players, like the NAD C-541, might be suitable, but please investigate before buying.
