Hi Spendor users! I am interested in buying my first pair of Spendor speakers. I am using a Marantz 6003 CD player, Hegel H80 amplifier and Audioquest type 4 cable. Any advice out there please?

Thank you maximus! I am thinking of the Classic 2/3 r2 or possibly the Proac Response d2. I am a musician and I want a speaker that has musicality and articulation with a deep bass reach for a standmount. I have read loads of articles about the whole BBC philosophy so let's see what happens!!

Yes, the sound from these designs can be very compelling. I have had good experiences with Harbeth and Graham Audio also. And lets not forget Falcon Acoustics who has gone all in on 100% authentic BBC reproductions, although only for a very few models so far.
