How to get the best sound out of Tannoy R1

I have a pair of Tannoy R1. I seem to hear a lot of good review about it...but it doesn’t seem to match my M-audio Bax5

If I am using turntable, what is the best way to get better sound out from my Tannoy R1?

Difficult question. The best way forward is often to eliminate the weakest link. If this is the way you want to go, then it depends what is weakest, your turntable, your amplifier, or maybe your Tannoys. If the Tannoys, then there may be no way.
